Pauline Davoust, Global Head of Insurance and Risk Management, Gate Gourmet
Why is participating to the European Risk Management Seminar important to you?
For networking with peers, to exchange experiences, to learn more about how to finance the ever growing universe of risk and the future trends of insurance and risk management
Why is the theme “Corporate Risk & Finance: how to finance the ever growing universe of risk?” relevant in today’s fast-paced world?
As all companies rely on speed and efficiency, the financial aspect of risk is also connected to the reaction of the industry. Investment in efficiency should be a priority.
At the Seminar you will be presenting ” Reconciling ERM and Insurance”, what would you like the audience to remember after your session?
Insurance and ERM departments (if not handled by the same team) should be able to communicate in an efficient way in order to be able to understand each other priorities and issues to find solutions (risk transfer, mitigation, BCP, etc.). Due to COVID pandemic this has been particularly important.
How will the role and responsibilities of the European risk managers evolve in order to achieve the green and digital transition?
I expect a lot of new digital tools to emerge which will help the risk manager community to structure and analyze the data in order to be able to provide the best service to their company. Green transition will be associated to the internet of things. Connectivity from any location will redefine the needs for office/work/warehouse spaces. And risks could be redefined.
